Oh, Great Spirit.
You who speak in the winds.
Whose breath gave life to everything.
I ask you;
I am small and weak and inexperienced.
I need Your Force and Understanding.
Let me walk in beauty.
Grant me that my eyes shall always see the red- purple setting of the sun.
Fill me with respect for Your creation.
Allow your voice to penetrate my ears and soul
that I may have the wisdom to understand
what you would teach the people.
Show me the lessons You have hidden
In the leaves
In the trees
In the rocks
that make the Earth.
Grant me the power
That I may not place my brother below me
and to accept myself as my severest enemy.
Receive me
accepting the flow to come to you
my hands clean and my eyes open
so as life extinguishes
like the light of day in the evening
I may come to You
without shame.
